One of my favorite things about visiting Florida is watching these little lizards.  They are everywhere.  While eating breakfast outside one morning on our last visit I noticed this guy on the wall.

30,000’s a Crowd

With an estimated 25-30 thousand people attending, we strolled down Richmonds’ historic Monument Avenue during this years’ annual “Easter on Parade”.  The previous few years we’ve had bad weather, or work got in the way, but this year everything lined up.

I’ve wanted to take some pictures recently but just haven’t been motivated, until a friend e-mailed me the other day.  He sent some great photos he took at the river which inspired me to pull my camera out.  Unfortunately with the London like rain we’ve had around here I was stuck inside and needed an indoor project.

In my last entry, Firing the New Canon part 1, I posted some test shots taken with my new lens, the Canon 35mm f2.0. Those photos were taken outside in daylight however one of the reasons I bought this lens was to give me a better ability to take low light shots with no flash.

Just before Christmas I finally ordered a new lens for my Canon XTI. My decision was to go with a prime lens and I narrowed down the contenders to the Canon 28mm f1.8 and the Canon 35mm f2.0.

Not Quite the World Traveler

Another trip to Florida brought us to Disney’s Epcot. If you’ve never been it’s worth the trip. Half of the park is set up with block long vignettes of different countries called the “World Showcase”.
