I’ve wanted to take some pictures recently but just haven’t been motivated, until a friend e-mailed me the other day.  He sent some great photos he took at the river which inspired me to pull my camera out.  Unfortunately with the London like rain we’ve had around here I was stuck inside and needed an indoor project.

I pulled out the pop up studio that I got for my birthday last year and picked up a couple of flowers to use as my subject.  The photo tent came with a blue and a gray backdrop and yesterday I got black and white fabrics which seem more useful to me.

I watched a video recently about studio lighting that was a good refresher and helped my experimenting with this project.  The pop-up studio came with two lights so I spent time trying different combos of lighting, backdrops, and flower arrangements.  It’s a good thing the motivation hit me because I ended up having fun working on this.
